We all go. How regular? Now, that's a different story. llnesses like Gut Dysbiosis and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) are more common than one would assume. Worldwide, 10 to 15 percent of people suffer from IBS. The main symptoms of this illness include constipation, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. My first suggestion to those suffering from IBS is to cut out beef, pork, and dairy from your diet. Gut Dysbiosis occurs when the bacterial flora within the digestive tract becomes imbalanced, more bad bacteria than good. This causes excessive gas, bloating, and feeling tired after meals. The main causes of this illness comes from skipping meals/eating sporadically, consuming lots of sugar, and alcohol consumption.
This 2-day Bowel Cleanse listed below will help balance gut flora and get the digestive system back to functioning properly. And getting you going more regularly. As with any diet, if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have an existing medical condition consult with your primary care physician before starting any type of diet. This diet is to only last no longer than 2 to 3 days. Once completed, it is advised to continue making conscious eating habits to prevent the return of symptoms.
Start your day with a fruit juice diluted with bottled spring water (half & half style). Great options would be apple, pear, papaya, fresh orange, and black cherry. If you are unable to juice these fruits yourself, try to purchase bottled, organic fresh juice. You may also drink vegetable juice diluted with 1/3 bottled water. An easy formula to homemade veggie juice consists of:
1. 4oz Apple/Carrot Juice
2. 4oz Juice from Dark Green Lettuce/Cucumber/Celery
3. 2oz Juiced Parsley/Spinach/Beetroot/Red Cabbage
Throughout the day, you should consume 2 bowls of this mineral rich Bieler Broth. To make you will need:
- Chopped & steamed courgettes
- 4oz of green beans
- 2 celery stalks
You should also include an Alkaline Broth to this diet. This should be consumed 2 to 3 times daily. To make, you will fill a stainless steel saucepan with 1.5L of water (preferably spring water). Add 2 washed, chopped, and unpeeled potatoes. Add 1 cup chopped carrots. Add 1 cup diced celery. Add 1 cup of another root vegetable like Swede, chopped. Add your preferred seasonings including cayenne, basil, and oregano. Cover & cook on low heat until the vegetables become soft.
This broth would be great prepared in a crockpot, cooking on high for about 2 hours.
When it comes to beverages for this diet, of course spring water is the best choice. You may also have herbal tea but no coffee, black tea, or caffeinated drinks. Make sure you are taking in enough fluids throughout the day to keep urine clear or light in color. Dark urine indicates dehydration.
During this diet, it is best to rest throughout the day. Steer clear of straining exercise and limit yourself to walking for a workout. Do housework at a mild to moderate pace. It is important to rest during any strict diet due to lowered calorie intake.
I hope you find relief from this diet and much healing from your ailments.
